American Airlines Flight 5342 was en route from Wichita, Kansas (ICT), to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) on January 29, 2025. The flight, operated by PSA Airlines as an American Eagle service using a CRJ-700 regional jet, was on a final approach to Runway 33 at DCA when it collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter over the Potomac River. Flying stars in this case, did not predict anything negative in any directions, but Qi Mn Dun Jia energies did, as well as Bazi Patterns.
What went wrong?
The aircraft was initially flying in the East Direction before turning North West on its final approach, approximately 350 feet above the water, just southeast of Runway 33. Flight data shows the plane was about 10.5 nautical miles from DCA when it first contacted the tower at 8:43 pm. EST. At 8:43:06, the air traffic controller asked the crew to switch from Runway 1 to Runway 33 due to departing traffic. The crew accepted the change, and the aircraft began a shallow right turn off the Runway 1 localizer at around 1,700 feet radio altitude. The collision occurred at 8:47:59 pm. EST, with the plane at a radio altitude of 313 feet, a speed of 143 knots, and a 9° nose-up pitch. The flight path, as shown in multiple maps and data visualizations, reveals the plane’s turn from Runway 1 approach to Runway 33, placing it on a perpendicular path to the helicopter’s route. The U.S. Army Black Hawk was flying South along Helicopter Route 1 toward Route 4, descending from around 300 feet to approximately 200 feet at the time of impact. The helicopter had just taken a slight right turn seconds before the collision.
