The fire truck’s path was from the South, crossing the runway 4/22 at the location marked as “Fire truck asked to cross runway here”, on the incident map.

All pilots are dead. I bet at least one of them had a Horse in the birth chart …, but then again, this was an unavoidable accident. No one would have been willing to cancel Million $ flight, because “higher forces would recommend it”. Here is your “Death and Taxes”. I wish someone would calculate cost of damages & repairs of this one accident, including emotional treatment what would be required, compare it to the cost of one cancelled flight … But hey we live with no faith in High Forces here, don’t we?
